Description

Rony Trio is a jägerfolk band, like folk music with a shot of Jägerbomb! Or Redbull. It’s a pop/folk blend that draws from all genres from jazz and blues to electro, funk and world music.

Rony founded the band in 2013, shortly after moving to London to study at the London Centre for Contemporary Music. That’s where he met the groove-infused bassist Oliver Mitchell and drummer Jim MacRae. Rony originally trained as an anesthetist and intensive care doctor and still works in London hospitals.

?His music his heavily influenced by his multicultural background: Brazilian mother, Tunisian father, childhood spent listening to bossa nova, oriental music, blues, jazz, rock and French songwriters.

The eclectic band have been performing around London for the past year in venues such as The Servant Jazz Quarters, the Bedroom Bar, The Strongroom, Kensington Rooftop Garden, The Underbelly and the Bermondsey Street Festival.

The M.F.U. are Dave, Tom ‘n’ Terry. Our job is to bring a show to places you wouldn’t expect to find a show – you know – say goodbye to jeans and t-shirts and hello to a band who believes in a band being a ‘gang’, with an image, plus the style and substance to back it up! Add to that a set of material that rocks, twists and turns in equal measure – then you have… The M.F.U.

Description
Founded in January 2013

Debut album “The Missing Persians” available now! Oxfordshire band with a bluesy Americana vibe playing original music fuelled by tea and chips.
The Missing Persians are an original band from Oxfordshire playing songs written by Chris Cox (vocals, guitar and mandolin),… See More.

After making music in several other bands over the years, Chris (vocals/guitar/mandolin), John (guitar/vocals) and Nick (drums) decided it would be fun to start an Americana band.

After a few weeks of rehearsals in early 2013 they realised they weren’t quite Americana, but with the original songs Chris had brought with him they decided there was something special about the band. A couple of weeks later and they were joined by Chas on bass and vocals.

Hometown: Reading

Description

Formally a trio of 3 guys over 10 years ago, the Noyze have evolved throughout the years seeing a few different faces. Now returning to form with the original brothers, Ross and Ryan with the addition of James Alder, a friend of the brothers from back in the day, who has also played with various bands around town over the years,

Over a 2 year period trialing bass players, the combination of Ross’ voice and guitar playing, Ryan’s fierce drumming and James’ rhythmic sounds, it was obvious to all that James was the chosen one. During the 2 year period finding a bass player, the band took a break from gigging until the band was fully back in action.

The Boys have been gigging together for over 12 years in various bands and line ups around Readings most established music venues, too many gigs to count to date! Some of these include the Purple Turtle, Oxjam Charity Festival, Caversham Festival and Facebar. The Noyze over the years have also ventured as far as London, Oxford, Basingstoke and Maidenhead.

Ross, Ryan and James have over the last year created a new direction for the band, giving the Noyze a distinct, unique sound and a new audience; it feels like a new band for the boys. We still feel that as the 2 brothers created the Noyze in 2002, the positive reputation of the band will be maintained, therefore keeping the name made sense.
Having played the Reading scene for so many years, The Noyze has built up a great relationship with local, reputable bands. This has resulted in some new opportunities for the band, most significantly, 2 other bands who cannot be named at this time, are signing to a small record label, Alpha Delta Music Ltd in the next year, which is also opening up opportunities for the Noyze. Due to this, we are holding off releasing an EP until this materializes.

Releasing material with them when the time comes gives the band time to focus on creating new tunes, record and produce the first full album.
